Hi ho, hi ho, it's off to market we go!

This morning my friend and I took our wares to a local market at Ohau. It's the first time we've had a stall together.
Of course you all know what my tables look like! I had lots of pretty lavender bags and gorgeous fabric cards and the coffe card wallets.

I also took a pile of my novels to sell.

My friend was selling here beautiful hand made soaps.

We had a lovely morning selling and I was thrilled People even wanted to buy copies of my book, and I was happy to sign them!

Thank you to everyone who called into visit and say hi, to those who supported our table with all their purchases and all the lovely comments we got! We decided it was well worth the effort and we'll be back again next month!

Sunday is off to a flying start!

Well, this morning I woke when hubby got out of bed. I was in the middle of a long and very vivid dream at the time, (and yes I do remember my dreams).
I rolled over and looked at the clock, it said 6.18am. I panicked and jumped out of bed and started rushing around. Then it suddenly dawned on me that my alarm had not gone off because it was Sunday NOT Monday and I had turned it off.
So, I'll get back into bed and check my emails.

Yesterday evening hubby took me to a local beach and we went to the little pub and had dinner. Sat outside in the last of the day's sunshine and watched the comings and goings. It was lovely.

So next Saturday I will be at the Ohau Market and I needed to make some more lavender bags and cards to sell. Above are some of the finished cards ready to package.

Then I decided to make some coffee card wallets. I thought they might look a little different, I've never made them to sell before. What do you think? I use one all the time, they are great for your eftpos/credit cards too.

I haven't done a market for just over twelve months, I've missed them. I think I'll take some copies of my novel along too, may be I might sell one or two!

I got a lovely comment from Nancy on the last post. She has made a Snippet Roll and invited me over to see it. Of course it was gorgeous, but I knew it would be! If you want to visit Nancy's blog just click on the link. I have to say it was lovely of Nancy to credit where she got the idea, I really appreciate it. Snippet Rolls are infiltrating the world, but not many people credit it back to it's source. I'm guessing the wee SR's are a long way from home now.

Well, I really must get up now. Oh and if you were wondering what the dream was about - well I was living with a very elderly and forgetful aunt in a huge two story rambling house and I remembered that she had turned the bath on upstairs over an hour ago, and I was running to turn the water off. When I got to the bottom of the stairs there was water dripping from the ceiling and spilling down the stairway! The top floor was awash. And then I woke up. :)
What does it mean I wonder?

Enjoy your weekend!

Perfect Valentine's Day is spent doing..........

So far it's pretty much a perfect Valentine's Day. I mean to say, I'm in the Studio, the radio is playing some 'sing out loud' songs and I'm stitching up a storm.
What more could I want?

What would you like to do on Valentine's Day?

When I was at work in the quilt store this week I made a whole pile of red roses using fat quarters of red fabrics. They looked nice nestled amongst a display of black and white fabrics.

Whatever you do on Valentine's Day, have a lovely one.

Today's mystery....

Today we found a birds nest on our roof.

Normally I don't think this would be a big deal. However, where did it come from and what kind of bird made it?

It's huge! And it's got all sorts of goodies in it. There was bits of plastic, lots of feathers, a lot that looked like chicken feathers, there was even horse hair.

When I loosened it there was an old tissue tucked in there. Perhaps we have some very emotional birds living around here? LOL

I wondered if it belonged to a magpie? But how did it end up on the roof?
