tea anyone?

Tea plays a large part in my home. I am a big tea drinker.
I don't drink fruit flavoured teas, I drink decaf with milk!
However I do like to buy them ... to play with!

Brew up a concoction ...

Normal tea dyed calico on the left, unbleached plain calico in the
middle and raspberry dyed calico on the right.
Delicious colours!

And these tea bags will come in handy in a project, just need to dry them out.

Carole ;)

I'm intrigued, what do you do with the used teabags??
Love the tea dyed calico, great idea to use the fruity teabags for different colours!!

Lovely colours - however you will find that most (if not all) so called fruit teas will produce this pink colour! It is the Hibiscus at does it - Hibiscus is most often the biggest ingredient in the 'berry' flavour teas. Still it is lovely!! Have you tried instant coffee - it also has a lovely colour - or tumeric, or safrron - sorry could go on for ages!! Lovely work recently!!

Hi Carol,
I am a real fan of flavoured teas also, and although I have used them for flavouring cakes, I have not thought of using them for tea dying, how silly of me! They do look great so that will go on my weekend list of things to do. THANKS!
